Oyu Tolgoi – Underground Mine Project Phase 2

The Oyu Tolgoi copper mine in Mongolia is an open pit mine and underground project situated 550 km south Of Ulaanbaatar Mongolia. More than 80% of Oyu Tolgoi’s total value lies deep underground.  The project consists of the delivery of the underground services and supporting Infrastructure, Primary Crushing and Material Handling Systems associated with ore production. The remaining “Green Field” UG Crushing and Material Handling Systems Stage 2 as well as a “Brown Field” expansion to the Concentrator Processing Plant will be completed over the next 3 years.

Progesys is mandated to perform the following typical surface and underground activities which are described below:

SERVICES INCLUDE:

• Performing pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, and operations.
• Preparing the commissioning systems and activities.
• Pre-commissioning infrastructure and equipment inspections and tests .
• Energizing the equipment, processes, and services .
• Validating the equipment process and process such as: factory acceptance testing, no-load set-up and function testing, no-load sequencing testing, limited load testing and operability criteria testing.
• Repairing, maintaining, and operating the activities associated with equipment, processes and services under commissioning custody and control .
• Performing activities of preservation .
• Completing handover activities and deficiencies.
• Supplying and sustaining, tooling, equipment, materials, and commissioning consumables for executing services.
