DESCRIPTION

The plant is in the Sohar Industrial Free Zone, Al Batinah, Sultanate of Oman. The project is part of the Sultanate’s plans to increase the contribution of the non-oil sectors to the diversification of the local economy.

SPMP has an annual capacity of 20,000 tonnes of antimony metal and antimony trioxide, more than 50,000 oz. of gold per annum as principal products, and gypsum as a secondary product. SPMP is the largest antimony roaster outside China. The plant is capable to process a wide range of ore concentrates, designed as a safe plant.
